ADSA was set up at the end of the 2006/2007 season to represent, and give the clubs disabled supporters a voice. The aim was to try and deal with any problems or complaints that supporters may have and to enhance the match day experience. Since then, ADSA has managed to install higher platforms on the Upper Tier and radar locks on all the disabled toilets.
In October 2016, a new Committee was formed and they are delighted that ADSA is a full member of Level Playing Field and are part of the Official Arsenal Supporters’ Association Scheme.
We worked with Arsenal FC to increase the number of tickets for the 2017 FA Cup Final against Chelsea and was successful in obtaining 103 tickets compared to the original 50 tickets allocated.
The new Committee are currently working on short, medium and long term plans as well as aims and objectives which are:
- Enable its members to share a common interest in Arsenal FC.
- To enhance the match day experience for all supporters with a disability both at Arsenal FC and away grounds.
- To represent all disabled supporters of Arsenal FC in their dealings with the club.
- To recommend measures to improve the match day experience for all disabled people at both home and away matches.
- To encourage disabled people to travel to away matches by providing information and support where available.
- To establish links with other Disabled Supporters Associations for the benefit of disabled football supporters.
We meet regularly with the Arsenal Disability Liaison Team to discuss improving accessibility.
We are recognised by Arsenal Football Club as a Supporters Club and further information about us can be found on their website – Arsenal Disabled Supporters’ Association
