AWAY TICKET SCHEME CHANGES

Arsenal FC in conjunction with supporters’ groups and with members of their wider fanbase, have decided to phase out the Away Ticket Scheme.  With the new changes this will ensure more members will be able to get a chance to attend away games.

The scheme will be phased out over a two year period, starting with the 2021/22 season.  Away Ticket Scheme members will be able to purchase tickets on a match-by-match basis rather than automatically being charged for every away fixture.  During the transition period, Away Ticket Scheme members will have an exclusive priority booking period for each away game before the club begins the standard sales process based on the number of away credits held.

Following the conclusion of the two year transition period, starting from the 2023/2024 season, access to purchase tickets for all eligible members will be based solely on the number of away credits held by each member.

All away credits accrued the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 seasons will count towards the credit-based system from the start of the 2023/2024 season.  For those supporters who attend away games regularly, they will have accrued more points and therefore will get priority access to away tickets.

What is the reason for making these changes?

Arsenal FC want to make away tickets more accessible to all eligible members and they expect to see this taking affect from the 2021/22 season.  As Away Ticket Scheme members will no longer have to purchase tickets for every away game, it is the clubs expectation that this will result in tickets for away games being more widely available.

The club will also carry out ID checks at away games to ensure that the purchaser of the away ticket is the attendee.  This is part of the clubs continued commitment to addressing ticket-touting and that the tickets are being used by members.
